The TrANS construction training program has opened the door to quality careers for hundreds of people. Its focus is on helping women and members of minority communities get the skills for entry level construction jobs, although anyone can apply. In short, we provide the support and training you need to begin and sustain your career.

You will need:

  • High school diploma or GED/HSED suggested, but not required
  • A valid driver's license
  • Able to pass a drug test

Staff Information

Class Requirements

  • 6th grade-level Math and Reading skill

Class Structure

The class is provided face-to-face in Green Bay, Madison, and Beloit locations. It is 30-40 hours per week for six weeks (exact schedule can change and is reflected on the training calendar). It includes homework on studying the CDL manual and for apprenticeship exams.

In addition to being TrANS certified, graduates also earn:

  • Flagging certification from the National Safety Council
  • OSHA 30 certification from the U.S. Department of Labor

Construction is a physically demanding industry, so TrANS has physical elements as well as other types of learning.

TrANS staff provides job placement and retention services to graduates.
